At AeroTex, we bring deep, hands-on expertise to every aspect of icing wind tunnel calibration. Our team has worked extensively across the world’s leading icing facilities, and supported operators in achieving accurate, reliable, and regulation compliant calibration results. With decades of combined experience, we understand the complexities of replicating liquid icing conditions (including Supercooled Large Droplets), snow and mixed-phase environments within icing facilities. We also have extensive experience in aerothermal calibration, ensuring a good understanding of the base flow in the tunnel.
Our background includes the use of state-of-the-art instrumentation for Liquid Water Content (LWC), droplet sizing (MVD and full Particle Size Distribution), and airflow characterisation such as uniformity, flow angularity, and turbulence intensity. We are deeply familiar with accepted calibration procedures and instrumentation, and we actively contribute to industry standards as members of the SAE AC-9C working group.
Beyond technical execution, we excel in planning, managing, and evaluating calibration campaigns. From deriving calibration functions to analysing measurement data and resolving complex calibration issues, AeroTex provides the expertise needed to ensure your facility meets the highest performance and certification expectations.
