Introduction
The IHB3D simulation tool calculates 3D ice accretion on surfaces using a streamline-based integration method. It processes the aerodynamic and collection efficiency data generated from previous CFD simulations to extract streamlines. Then, it pre-processes the streamlines and performs the heat transfer and ice growth calculations. After that, it interpolates the results from the streamlines onto the original surface mesh and reconstructs the resulting ice shape.
