AeroTex is pleased to welcome Bernhard Reinholz to the team! Bernhard has joined as an Aircraft Icing Engineer to support our many on-going projects. Bernhard’s main task will be working on the Austrian leading research project, JOICE.
AeroTex participated in the 1st AIAA Ice Prediction Workshop, running from 26th to 29th July 2021. The workshop was extremely well attended by an international audience and included some very interesting discussions regarding the current capabilities of simulation codes and the need for further development. Information on the workshop can be found here.
The JOICE project (Joint Austrian In-flight Icing Research Venture 2020+) is an ambitious 3-year research programme focused on making significant improvements in numerical simulation, testing of rotating components, ice protection systems, ice detection systems and more!
AeroTex GmbH is proud to be a partner in the project, which held its kick-off meeting on Tuesday 10th November 2020.
The project is funded by FFG – Die Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft under project number 881057.
AeroTex GmbH will be supporting a European helicopter manufacturer to obtain icing certification for the engine inlet.
AeroTex GmbH attended the SAE International Conference on Icing of Aircraft, Engines and Structures, held in Minneapolis, USA from 17th to 21st June, 2019. Richard chaired one of the technical sessions (Appendix C: Modeling – Ice Protection & Shedding). https://www.sae.org/attend/icing
